Minutes for June 7th, 2010

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Attending members were: ChrisHayes, Carla Hayes, Mark Hayes, Kristen Melton, Dave Daniels, Debbie Daniels, David Schell. Brian McClenden, Bo Miller, Jeff Waller, Jason Howard, Keden Shrum, and Jamie Bevard.

Guy made a motion to accept the May minutes. David S.  seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Treasurer report: Debbie reported $9,871.35 in checking. $ 3,490.19 in savings.  Carla made a motion to accept treasures report, Chris seconded the motion. Motion passed.

W.C.F.T.A.: The Trust Authority has $132,745.00 unencumbered balance. Greg Edwards had received notification that the Trust Authority’s  membership to the National Fire Protection Association was due. James Suddath made the motion to pay $390.00 for the three year membership. David Greeno seconded the motion. Motion was unanimous.

Fire Chief Report: Jamie asked that if we are attending a emergency where we are aquainted with persons involved, that we excuse ourselves from the scene if it is too emotional. He requested that we step aside and let first responders do their job. Make sure your truck has safety equipment needed for roadside emergencies. When reporting back to the station be sure to record known aspects of the attended emergency. This information can be very helpful in the event of litigation or investigation of criminal behavior.

Debbie handed out Balance Sheet, and Profit and Loss as of June 4^th 2010. Debbie also prepared the Budget July 2010 through June 2011. David Schell made the motion to approve next years budget. Krestin seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Fire Chief Election: Keden made a motion that we are allowed to re-elect a Fire Chief for two consecutive terms of two years each. Guy seconded the motion. Motion passed. Chris Hayes nominated Jamie Bevard for the position of Fire Chief. Guy seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Assistant Fire Chief: Guy McCoy volunteered for the position of Assistant Fire Chief.

David Schell made a motion to send in application for Errors & Omissions application. Guy McCoy seconded the motion. Motion passed.

ISO 8B Rating:  The paperwork has been resubmitted and asked to be expedited to make up for lost time.

Debbie Daniels made a motion to accept Rich Williams as a firefighter. Chris Hayes seconded the motion. Motion carried.
